My new post card

This is a shot of my new postcard. Lovely collage on the front with some thumbnails on the back and my contact details. Just finished a new bookmark business card to give out at shows. Folks must like them because a few people have enquired about whether they can buy one!
It has been a really buisy week for me, the lovely people at Ferrers Gallery at Staunton Harrold have moved from having my work on sale or return, to buying it in. Thats given me a terrific boost in confidence! Then there was the Stamford Art Centre Craft Fair on Sunday to get ready for. And as usual, the more I do then the more ideas I get.............. had to get up at 4.30 this morning to get started again. Talking of work, must get back to it............

Poor babes

Such an upsetting time here, after all the efforts the boys made to hatch their chicks, when they were big enough to go into their coop the weather changed, the temperature dropped and torrential rain gave some of them a chill. Although we brought them inside and put hot water bottles under their straw we have now lost 5 of them.

Monday morning?

What should be Monday morning has turned into2.15 pm on Monday afternoon, thanks to some anti virus messup on our system. Have had to carry on an online sometimes tennis like dialogue with an unknown computer nerd, god knows where who now thinks i'm rude stupid and can't spell! If that's you, i'm sorry, I just dont type as fast as you or speak computerese! Oh and thanks for your help but sorry to say it diddnt help.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am going to switch everything off now and ignore it.
It was a lovely weekend though, and we did try a new market on Friday and the sun shone, oh how the sun shone! And the visitors and customers were all so lovely.
AND the car boot gods were smiling on me on Sunday, the car started and treasures were found!

The view from my window.

I wake this morning from dreams of making things. It's fuzzy and white outside, the world outside my window is shrouded in a heavy mist and Jack Frost has also been busy, the fields are white over. Not a breath of wind, nothing stirs.
I can't remember what I was dream-making. Before I had a chance to capture the swiftly vanishing thread, both cats were on the bed demanding love, fuss and food, they just can't get enough food!
Then small boy comes in and joins the cats - the questions start. Phil obsessed at present with his own dreaming and keeping a dream diary, is detailing his own nocturnal world of the head. My brain is no longer mine to retreat into and explore, too full of others words needs and feelings now, momentarily I lose hold on the thread that was my only link to last nights dream time world. It's like I see the tail end of it slipping down the rabbit hole!
Down in the kitchen, small boy has gone out for the school bus, having breakfasted on 2 perfect and small bantams eggs from our little mother hen.
There are spires of brown thorny dog rose reaching up into the mist outside this window, in stark contrast to the pink and red arches of my orchid flowers on the window ledge.
Smallest boy is singing to the lego mountain in his room, happily oblivious that school run time rapidly approaches......
No doubt still in his favourite clothes - pyjamas. I had better go and break the spell, then drive him to school.
To day needs to be a mirror making day - better get on............

Oh gosh and where to start?

For some time now I have been enjoying dipping in to the blogs of lots of different artists and makers, lots of them have been visually exiting, all have been extremely friendly, all have given me inspiration and fuelled me to go and create when I have been suffering 'artists block'!

So far I haven't felt able to thank any of these people or to take part in any discussions because of my total lack of own blog presence! I feel I need to have my own tiny bloggy corner furnished with a little me-ness to reach out from and invite a contact back to.
