Jewellery Party 10th Dec 5 to 10pm at our house!

We are having another jewellery party at our house this Friday.

A wonderful way to shop! A wonderful way to sell!
We enjoyed the last party, especially as it was in the warm, with nice food and good company.
If you missed the last one try and make it to this one. If you can't, as well as finding us on markets, at shows and craft fairs, you can always phone, E mail or contact us via websites. We are happy for customers to do this. Payments can be made by cheque, Pay Pal or card.

Lincoln Xmas Market...cancelled

Picture postcard pretty outside. Won't post a pic because you are probably overwhelmed with images of snow. Yes it's a another bloomin' winter fantasia out there this morning!

Yes and I am a little fed up with it because our big event -the Lincoln Christmas Market- has been cancelled. We've been busy making lots of stock and have been steeling ourselves for the big effort of getting over to Lincoln to set up and work the long cold weekend. But now we are stuck in the house feeling frustrated and annoyed. Hopefully the weather will improve soon so make the best of the rest of the month.

Naturally we are a little worried given the bleak picture of the economy painted by politicians and papers. But I suspect that the situation is not as bad as it appears and that there are still plenty of people out there interested in buying reasonably priced craft items from British crafters. I believe that more and more people would prefer to buy locally made goods rather than stuff [that sounds the right word to me - stuff ] mass produced in China.

I'm off for a walk through the woods now before I start ranting. I shall take my camera. See if I can get some inspirational snaps!

Phil [Sharon's partner]

p.s. She's got me writing on here so she can get on with the real work.

Pretty green tags!

I just couldn't resist doing something 'useful' with my journal pictures, so decided to turn them into tags for my jewellery - and don't they look pretty?

Art Journaling Therapy

Oh what a lovely change from making jewellery for a while. And they do say a change is as good as a rest!
I have had one bug/virus after another since Christmas and am feeling so fed up with the continuing cold and wet weather! So I decided to sign up for an online art class with a lady called Pam Carriker. I stumbled across her blog , art at the speed of life, and saw that she was doing this class.
I have avoided using acrylic paints since my art college days but we scrapped the old wreck of a car that had been sitting in our drive foe an age, and I spent the money on paints! Money well spent - i'm having lots of fun!

What a wonderful sky, this only lasted a few minutes and was the only shot I managed to get before the camera batteries ran out!

What happened to January?
What happened to January?

Hmm.......... new year resolutions to blog regularly seem to have melted away with all the snow we had over the holidays.
January has been a tough month for us, weather has put paid to plans of going out and selling on our stalls, then there have been the colds and the my left leg stuff.
Ha, that poor leg, 3 good falls and then too much dancing at Helens wedding! However leg got better when I made a doctors appointment!
On the (very) bright side though I have been accepted for the SOCK exhibition in Loughborough town hall:
